	Overview Hancock got his big break playing piano for Miles Davis for seven years. This shows his musical stamina. However, Herbie is a true innovator for blending acoustic and electronic palettes. His love of technology made him a natural for the synthesizers that were coming out almost daily. This ability to bridge jazz styles with the emerging urban Hip-Hop styles in his song "Rockit" once again brought Jazz into the public eye.
