Name - Miles Dewey Davis III (1926 – 1991) |
| Instrument - Trumpet | |
| Overview Miles Davis, the son of a dentist, went to the Julliard School of Music at the age of 17. Not that big of a deal when you weigh that against playing with “God of Bebop” Charlie Parker at the age of 17. Davis had a spacey, relaxed style that was defined by his “Birth of the Cool” album. This album is pivotal point between the furious improvisation of the boppers and the Miles Davis "Cool” style. |
