Name - David Warren Brubeck (1920) |
| Instrument - Piano | |
| Overview David Brubeck is one of the gentle giants of jazz. Brubeck is proof that you can keep true to yourself and still reach the public. He received much acclaim with his quartet that included Paul Desmond. Classically trained, he studied with composer Darius Milhaud, who encouraged his students to play jazz. Brubeck experimentation with complex time signatures and poly-tonality make his compositions sound advanced, even at today’s standards. |
