Overview
Pete Townshend was one of the most visually inspiring guitarists of Rock with is leaps into the air and windmill attacks. He was also the main songwriter for The Who and wrote Tommy, a rock opera about the life of a hadicapped boy who has a gift for playing pinball. His success with Tommy gained him a Tony award and opened the door to writing more Broadway like works after The Who disbanded in 1982.
