Name - Keith Richards (1943)
Played with - The Rolling Stones
Overview
Keith Richards was the straight man to Mick Jagger's stage strutting. His songwriting ability combined with his rock solid rhythm guitar playing made the Rolling Stones the band they are. His smooth blues based licks gave life to moments that were not filled with Jagger's voice. Richards style was difficult to imitate because he preferred to use a five string guitar and different string tunings which gave him a truly unique sound.
