Overview
While every other heavy metal guitarist was following Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhoads playing with Quiet Riot. This L.A. band was not getting the recognition that Rhoads desired and he decided to audition for Ozzy Osbourne's solo band after Ozzy left Black Sabbath. Rhoads was noted for incorporating classical music into his playing. He was tragically killed in a plane crash in 1982, and many speculate how much more this musician had to offer to the Heavy Metal era.
