Overview
Country music would still be a regional style of music if Chet Atkins
hadn't broken into the pop music scene in the 50's. Working at many
radio stations, his work finally reached the ears of the RCA label.
He was invited to play at the Grand Old Opry and became a studio musician
for RCA playing behind some of Country's greats. He was also a fine
Jazz guitarist as well recording with the Columbia record label in
the 80's also recording with Dire Straights, Marc Knopfler. |
